Position includes supervision and direction of multiple plant employees.<br><br><strong>Why work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive wages; starting at $47/hr </li><li>Work schedule: Continental shift pattern, 12 hour shifts</li><li>Focus on maintaining sustainability.</li><li>Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment</li><li>RRSP with company matching.</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career</li><li>Company paid training, and tuition reimbursement.</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Performs supervision of department and site-specific plant operations, including, but not limited to, refinery operations, tank farm operations, and wastewater treatment.</li><li>Supervises and mentors multiple operators and plant operations.</li><li>Acts as the recognized subject matter expert and point of contact in their area(s) of responsibility.</li><li>Ensures that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures, and all other site-specific policies and procedures and holds employees accountable when they do not.</li><li>Ensures that supervised operations/employees understand and have ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.</li><li>Write and issue work permits and ensure that work groups conduct permitted work in a safe and timely manner.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in their areas of responsibility.</li><li>May be assigned additional duties not listed above based on business needs.</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Leadership skills/ability.</li><li>Ability to work in team environment.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills.</li><li>Initiative in problem solving and identification of hazards.</li><li>Able to review all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP's), apply the SOPs, and suggest improvements when necessary.</li><li>Proficiency in Windows based applications (Word, Excel).</li><li>Plant operations experience or relevant experience in a chemical manufacturing facility.</li><li>Plant supervision experience.</li><li>Proficiency in multiple site-specific plant operations.</li><li>All employees within the operations department are required to be clean shaven at all times and must be able to pass a mask fit test. The operations department employees are considered first responders in emergency situations, and a candidate must be comfortable performing in emergency situations.</li></ul><br><strong>Over 40 years of sustainability in action.
