The Driver in Training is responsible for being trained on how to transport hazardous waste (box truck, tank, van, and/or roll-off dump truck) from a generator/facility to a company facility and/or an outside disposal facility;
They will be required to follow established procedures to maintain a safe workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for learning how to transport hazardous waste (tank, van, and/or roll-off dump trailer) from a generator/facility to a company facility and/or an outside disposal facility adhering to Department of
- Transportation (DOT) and hazardous waste (HAZMAT) regulations; communicate regularly with Coordinators regarding daily times and demurrage.Responsible for learning to ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste (i.e., drums are properly segregated and loaded, etc.); Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of Company equipment.
- Responsible for learning the proper placarding of vehicle to meet Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations.
- Responsible for learning how to maintain daily logs, worksheets, timecard, expense reports, dispatch & trip reports and vehicle inspection reports.
- Responsible for learning to maintain and clean assigned Company equipment as well as ensure equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order.
- May be assigned additional duties not listed above based on business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to use Mobile Computer
- Able to work with little if no direct supervision and an aptitude to complete assigned work
- Strong mechanical ability
- Able to make real-time decisions in the field
