This position will design, develop and deliver learning opportunities and training programs that effectively support the success of our employees on various work sites, and the strategic, tactical and annual business objectives.<br><br><strong>Why work for Clean Harbors?</strong><br><br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive wages with opportunity for overtime.</li><li>Positive and safe work environments</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Provide expertise, advice, and support to effectively balance individual and group learning needs/ preferences, strategies, and options in the context of business competency needs and budget/time resource constraints</li><li>Oversees/undertakes or participates in the development and delivery of programs using sound instructional design, effective computer-based instructional design and multi-media development if required. Training topics could include regulatory (safety training), orientations (company-specific and customer specific), technical (equipment) or soft-skills/leadership</li><li>Carries out evaluations to ensure learning and training programs meet stated objectives by measuring the results of learning activities in terms of knowledge transfer and business application; analyses and diagnoses reasons for both successful and unsuccessful programs; works to overcome barriers to learning through proactive individual and collaborative action.</li><li>Plays a supporting role in developing and improving systems to store and retrieve organizational and individual knowledge through database(s).<br><br><ul><li>Ensuring that training records are captured in our Learning Management System,</li><li>Prepare/execute training plans for employees requiring additional coaching/mentoring </li><li>Complete mobile workforce training, planning and development</li><li>Work with various sites to ensure manpower needs and requests are met.</li></ul></li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>3-5 years' experience within a leadership/coaching/training role required.</li><li>5+ years' experience within an industrial setting</li><li>Valid class 5 license with a clean driver's abstract</li><li>Ability to travel overnight as required.</li><li>Proficient computer skills; MS office, and Power Point</li><li>Strong learning, innovation, conceptual and analytical skills.</li><li>Strong commitment to internal customer service, performance consulting, workforce development, personal initiative and problem solving to identify and facilitate needed change.</li></ul><br>40-years of sustainability in action.
