The goal will be to progress into a Route Driver that safely transports hazardous and regulated waste between customer sites, company facilities, and approved disposal locations in compliance with Transport Canada and TDG regulations.<br><br><strong>Why work for Safety-Kleen?</strong><br> <br><ul><li>Health and Safety is our #1 priority, and we live it 3-6-5!</li><li>Competitive wages: $24/hr. + overtime opportunities. </li><li>Comprehensive health benefit coverage after 30 days of full-time employment.</li><li>Group RRSP with company matching component.</li><li>Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement.</li><li>Positive and safe work environments.</li><li>Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career.</li></ul><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br><br><ul><li>Support daily warehouse operations and eventually provide vacation/absence coverage for internal Safety-Kleen route drivers (SSR/VSSR).</li><li>Learn and apply safe transportation practices for hazardous waste in compliance with Transport Canada and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.</li><li>Assist with the proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including correct drum segregation, securement, and placement.</li><li>Monitor load weights and ensure proper and efficient utilization of company vehicles and equipment.</li><li>Transfer materials, equipment, kits, and supplies to support efficient material flow throughout production and assembly areas.</li><li>Deliver materials to assembly workstations, maintain bench stock, and move completed assemblies and jobs between work areas and cost centers.</li><li>Identify and transfer required parts and materials to address shortages and support timely completion of assemblies.</li><li>Verify and maintain inventory records, stock logs, shortage reports, and other required documentation.</li><li>Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet handlers, skids, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment.</li><li>Learn and follow proper vehicle placarding requirements in accordance with company policies, Transport Canada regulations, and TDG requirements.</li><li>Maintain accurate daily logs, worksheets, timecards, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection documentation.</li><li>Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory requirements while handling, transporting, and storing materials and waste.</li><li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br><br><ul><li>Valid G driver's license and reliable transportation required; Class DZ license is considered a strong asset. </li><li>Clean Driving record. </li><li>Previous industrial warehouse and inventory experience required. </li><li>Forklift operating experience highly preferred. </li><li>Strong communication and relationship building skills to assist customers. </li><li>Vacuum truck operating experience considered a strong asset. </li><li>Experience in the hazardous waste or environmental services industry is an asset. </li><li>Comfortable working in a physically demanding role that also includes sales responsibilities. </li><li> Strong computer skills and proficiency with basic software applications required.</li></ul><br><strong>Safety-Kleen Systems, </strong>a Clean Harbors company, has a commitment to excellence deeply rooted in a strong sense of tradition.
